Personally, I'm of the view that if I can hit something with one cartridge I can hit it with pretty much any other, but in order to remove ANY excuses for you lot I shall request the 28g cartridges for the expert group ...
I'm not really fussed about the cartridges as long as they aren't sub-sonics.
I agree with Dan regarding the fact that HE "can hit something with one cartridge HE can hit it with pretty much any other" so I'm bringing a .410 for Dan to use, and if he does manage to start racking up a score, I'll hand him my 9mm bolt action single barrel garden gun! That should ensure a lack of silverware on the Tertius mantelpiece!
As for the others who wanted a slightly heavier load, 56gm 1s should help you remember for a few days how you spent your Sunday

OK, well that was obviously setting myself up for a fall ... I suppose its too late to say I meant of the same gauge...
But defo bring the .410 I'd love a shot with that.

I once ended up with a batch of subsonics and my scores (particularly DTL) basically went down the toilet. I persevered but I never could get used to them. Since then I tend to buy at least 1400fps. Other than that I am not too precious, but I have also had some el-cheapos go click instead of bang from time to time and have thus found that a few extra quid to avoid that (i.e. at least mid-range, with which I have never had a misfire) is worth it for me...
Everyone on time and everything running to schedule... great organisation - thanks for sorting it out Dan (and also for the heads up the other day as otherwise I wouldn't have known it was even happening).
Now we just need to find some pagan or witchdoctor types to get the weather sorted for next time
[though TBH I have shot in worst conditions and it didn't get in the way of a great morning].
Nice to meet some more friendly faces too.

Great organisation Dan, and some quality targets as well!
A thoroughly enjoyable day with nice people!
To those asking about the next shoot, we're hoping to arrange something at Royston (North Herts) again as we did last year. It should be Aug/Sept time and hopefully means some of the Northern?Midlands shooters can make it, watch this space for details!
