I fancy a lie in, but I could probably persuade my other half to go, in which case there would be a spare seat if anyone fancies a ride in the Diablo with him. Just say what time.

That does sound like a very tempting offer, i've never sit in a lambo before...
Is it open to all Pistonheads are only to people you guys actually know ?

Eventhough, i might join the testrun as well tomorrow, haven't got anything better to do anyway.

Tomorrow morning - test run -

I'll post a time this evening, sorry I can't be more specific than that right now, it'll depend on whether I have to take my missus to work (Brands) or not. Earliest 7 am, latest more like 9 am is all I can say for the next couple of hours.

Check back later on and there should be a time here.

Cheers all.

As there have been no positive takers for the spare seat, I might just drag myself out of bed so that I can get a practice run of the route as a passenger before having to drive it myself.

Just need a time now (hint).

Ok, Eddie_4.2 and I are meeting at Brands Hatch race circuit at 7.30 am tomorrow morning to convoy down to the start point of the run at M20 Jct 8 services (where you could meet us if you want - when you enter the car park go into the area on the left hand side and look obvious!)

By all means if you fancy a sneak preview or are interested in leading a group on the day or just have nothing better to do than wake up early on a Sunday morning to go out on a drive then you're welcome to come along.

I won't check this thread again until tomorrow night, so I'l leave it at that. See you if we see you!

P.S. Jamie I tried calling your mobile a few times, no answer...

I wouldn't mind a ride in a lambo but driving with/behind it tomorrow doesn't sound bad either, you guys still coming, and what time will you be at that racing circuit ?

I'm not to sure where the start point of the run is (though i just got it working in my mobile with tomtom now so that should find it) so i'll beter wait for you guys at the Brands Hatch race circuit tomorrow morning then and follow you to the starting point.

I'm in a red Celica by the way.

Start point is services off J8 of the M20 (the Leeds Castle exit). As you are meeting at Brands at 7:30 I'll aim to be at the services by 8:00. See you all then.

Ran most of the route yesterday - great! Only bit Le Frog didn't like was the mile or so of farm road - watch out for the bit through the farm yard itself and a couple of pot-holes just after it. The Frog is dropped over a std Vee and dragged its belly along a fair bit of that section...

Agree iro the bits you do twice - well worth it, especially the bit to/fro the great chippy. Also loved the hairpain followed by the humped bridge - air time!

See you on the 10th of June!

What a great run! clap

I rush through traffic on high speeds with lights and sirens going on a daily base, but this was by far the most fun i'd ever had in a car.

I've never done something like this before, and since i've only got my car for about 2 weeks now i didn't have a good chance to test it, untill now...

I mett up with Jay, Eddy, Lisa and Derek this morning and we did the whole run.

Unfortunaly right at the start Eddy had some problems with his Subura so he couldn't join us, so it was just the 3 of us then.

The Elise in front, followed by the Lamborghini and me at the back. So i had the pleasure of looking at the back of the lambo all run, and enjoying it's rumbling sounds when it accelarated.

We left about 08:30 for the run which ment the roads were practically empty which gave us the opportunity to really take the most out of the roads, and around 10 we stopped at the cafe/restaurant were we had a very nice breakfast before we continued with the rest of the route.

As time went on the traffic got a bit heavier so it's really important to start early on the actual run because around 12:00 there was quiet some traffic on the roads already.

About 12:45 we reached the finish pub where we had a drink and will have the bbq at the actuall run.

It was really nice meeting you Jay, Eddie, Lisa and Derek, and i'm really looking forward to the actual run!

The 4 of us at the start.

This was my view for the whole run, not too bad ey...

Taken whilst driving, not really the best way to take pictures...

The 3 of us at our first stop when we went for breakfast.

And at the finish

Hi Guys, it was great to meet you all - I've a lot more confidence that I'll recognise the route when we do it for real. Definitely a good route. BTW, my loverly husband is actually called Derek, though I call him a lot of things! LOL

Am not too saddle sore after nearly 6 hours of being on the road - we took it steady coming home. Roll on June!

Hi Eddie (Derek here using Lisa's login). Nice to meet you guys and hoping your oil leak isn't too bad Eddie. Look forward to the run proper when I will be able to enjoy the scenery from the passenger seat.
