Guys, next time your there, go ask the chap with the De Tomato about his car, take a few beers with you though
Yes he's a real enthusiast for De Tomaso Panthera (especialiy GT), too much so
He used to be in our club, first time I meet him I upset him by introducing him to a potential (now actual) member and saying that you did not need to have a Supercar to be in the club
He also did rides but once asked for only passengers that were "interested" in the car - they were interested enough for a ride in the car not THAT amount of interest in it, or him
Another time he turned up at the NEC where we had a stand and asked for free tickets for him and his friend even tho' his car was displaid on the De Tomaso stand and not ours and to cap it all he sat on the same table as us at that night's show awards (not with the De Tomaso club ?) and eat most of the sandwiches - as I told him then, he's got a brass neck and rhino skin
We saw him at April's meet but he was very busy talking to someone so I didn't stop to say hello - he would have just said hello to me and left it at that

yes, i remember him from the time he was at Kimbolton ('03 i think)i thought he was a nice chap. had some good stories about about his Pantera, showed us round it etc. not sure if he was doing rides that year though as he seemed to spend the majority of the day polishing/cleaning it inside and out!
great pics Mark! got any more of the Saggy?

Yeap I think you're got the year I was talking about, I was trying to get Glenn to join but he was reluctant because he didn't have the Chim yet
Panthera wasn't doing rides, club cars were parked at the side of the castle that year not just ride cars

It's a running joke now between the bunch I go with. We try to make AF every month through the summer, and last year at least anyone new that came with us we told to go and talk to him about his car, kind of a AF baptism of fire I spose.
You make me feel bad now, I don't want to turn him into a laughing stock
When I said thick skinned I meant he is insensitive to others but sensative himself, hence he has a passion
Some people lack social perception he is one of these so a gentle ribbing will go over his head but outright micky-taking in front of him will only upset him unnecessarily and is a forn of bullying
However - it's open season on me
