At 11.30 we were in Leamington Spa, buying a new TV - 46" Sony Bravia, plus new surround sound, & PS3, and games and blue ray DVDs and stuff biggrin

Ali - We got there at 09:50am .... proof of which is here: http://www.klincewicz.com/phsatservice/images/dsc_...

As we were one of the first - but not the first.

We were there when the Saggy and Atom arrived - and got pics of them as they arrived too wink

Sorry to have missed you.

K
So where were you hiding then weeping
I saw you pull up in the Lupo and expected you to come over to say Hi but your car was gone a few minutes later.

Still big telly and PS3 sounds better, I bought my PS on a saturday like this, I bet the electrical shops do a booming trade in this weather!

effectively got bollocked for the PH'rs doing donuts, handbrake turns and wheelspins around the car park as you left.
Thanks guys - I doubt they'd welcome another PH event in the future. rolleyes

I am guilty of having a spin on the way out.

However, before the jackals leap at my throat, i'd like to point out that i was at least 150 yards away from anyone else and clear of all possible danger. It was a large open area. It was harmless fun, and hardly worthy of anyone receiving a bollocking.

I apologise to all who have been affected by this
Sorry I was with David and we had a spin together, Sorry. I will not do it again. I to apologise to all who have been affected by this
Just to clarify - I absolutely saw it as harmless fun (and safe), but I only saw the antics on arival. My son and I were at the 4x4 track (which was brilliant by the way) as you all left, so didn't see or hear anything. Hence when the guy laid into me verbally I got very indignant and protested that the carpark was empty, wet and I can't imagine any PH'rs endangering anyone, least of all their own cars! I guess that wound him up even more - most embarrassing was the queue of people behind me at the desk all looking faintly amused...

Anyway, I've had notes from a couple of people and I've kept a tab of owed pints! hehe

OK, after much swearing at my computer (the only RAW-conversion software I have - PSP v.9 - is being temperamental at the moment), here's some of the best shots from the weekend.

Sorry to hear the turnout was poor - we were in Yorkshire at the weekend (it's slightly damp there, too wink), but Gaydon is a good place for a car meet, some good stuff in the museum. Went to Supercar Sunday a couple of weekends ago and enjoyed the cars which came the show including a lovely bunch of Lambos and the TVRs had fun in the arena smile - maybe that's what inspired the slight overexuberance described.

I was expecting much of Gaydon as a museum, but after Saturday, I would take Brooklands, Beaulieu or the Haynes museum in Somerset over Gaydon any day - just far more, far more interesting cars & displays...

Beaulieu is much better. Not been to the other two, sorry to say.

Donington collection is small but well worth a visit.

It was really good before the current owners got hold of it. I must say I was really disappointed.

Donington isn't small - they've just got a lot crammed in that isn't really done justice to. There are some awesome cars there if you know about their history. Tom Wheatcroft's autobiography is a great read and well recommended if you're planning to go.
