Blackpool Bombers on the Banking!

National Event - TVR Day at Brooklands Motor Museum.

Come and celebrate TVR's 60th Anniversary on Sunday July 22nd at Brooklands Motor Museum (Weybridge, SURREY), the Birthplace of British Motor sport and Aviation. 2007 also sees Brooklands Museum celebrating their Centenary so it's an ideal opportunity for you and your family to visit this amazing museum and soak up the atmosphere of this very special location on a day dedicated to TVR.

So what’s on offer ? On the day there will be a barbecue, jazz musicians, a TVR time-line (help required!), and an opportunity to get your TVR in a special photograph on the famous banked circuit. You can also visit Concorde, experience the flight simulator and explore the many historic vehicles and aircraft that are stored, ready for action, in and around the buildings that surround the main club house.

In the afternoon the famous Brooklands test hill will be open for anyone brave enough to attempt an ascent. Prizes are on offer for those who complete this challenge so sign up (if you dare!). There will also be a fun "Show and Shine" competition for all TVR’s that attend.

There is plenty of space for picnics so this is very much a family day out. Entry to the museum is £8 for adults and £5 for children. A family ticket is £20 which admits 2 adults and 3 children. Under 5's go free. Parking is free and you will also get a complimentary trail guide to lead you on your tour of the museum.

To bring the celebrations to a close we will be cutting a specially prepared TVR Anniversary cake as it’s just not a party if there isn’t a cake! We will then make our way , in convoy, a short distance to The Fairmile Arms (Cobham) where we can assemble the cars on the lawn and enjoy a meal and refreshments before refuelling and departing for home.

Brooklands Museum is located on the B374, just a few minutes from Junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road. Leave the A3 at the Painshill junction (A245) and follow the brown ‘Brooklands Museum’ signs.

For further information on this event or to include your car in the time line please contact Karen Thomsit or Steve_T through our profiles

Let’s make this a day to remember!

Everybody welcome!
