Top drawer day as usual. Second home as we were both tired after a late night watching Steely Dan in Liverpool. The missus has started asking how much money do I need to spend to make it go faster !

Hi there,

Thanks also to Craig, a great day that was superbly organised and made my son and I feel very welcome.

Took quite a few pictures, will post some up as soon as I have worked through them.

Could only hang around until about 12.30pm, by then the RUF had set a VMAX of 206mph. Did this get beaten ??

Tim

Many Thanks to craig and the other guys, excellent day as usual.

I managed 160 in the Aston Roadster with the roof down, and 174 in the BD9 Volante.

And 159mph in the Nissan 300 before the windscreen cracked frown

I seem to be sun burnt after driving home with the roof down!!!

See you next time, Matt

Craig, once again thanks heaps for organising a top day out. I managed 156 in my bargain bucket special. That's 1mph more than the limiter, so that'll do. smile

Thoughts go out to those with mechanical issues: hope the wallet bashing isn't to severe. This includes chap whose name I didn't get (green stripey top, grey Pork 911) who had ground to a halt with a sick engine on the the A14 slip.

Nice to meet those I've met before, and to make the acquaintance of a few new folk too.

Cheers,

Craig, Andy, Greg, James if you read this thanks so much again. Another excellent day.

I can't believe I went round all day looking for that pesky 1mph and never found it. 176,176,176,17frigginsix!!!

Great to see some old face and meet new. Thanks Maff, Jamie and Anniesdad for the rides.

Leon I hope you had a chauffer for the way home... did you stop driving all day, and not just the new motor?

Another Vmax ex-virgin after today...great value for money way to spend a day. Everyone really friendly and plenty of glorious metal to envy (Dear Santa, I would like an RT12 :-)

New-fangled GPS Performance Box gave 185.8, but timing beam showed (I think) max of 187...fairly chuffed with that, but more chuffed with the Performance Box measured 4.4s 0-60. Slightly toasted my clutch on a later run and never managed that sort of change on 2 attempts against a 430 :-(

Congrats to the driver of my car's twin, the other black 996 Turbo S cab (his had the natty grass pattern on the left hand side) who registered 188/189.

190mph with the first run of the day. To be honest I expected more, but hey, it beats Jason's 189mph so it's job done really! wink

Nice to chat to some old faces and meet some new. I don't know how many runs I did, but 45ltrs of fuel seems to have gone somewhere scratchchinhehe.
