Thanks Craig for a great day at VMax.

Yep thanks Craig for a cracking day out! Apologies for the problems with my muffler but it was a nice 4 mile walk up and down the back straight trying to find the 2nd one in the grass.
I have spoken to Merlin motorsport who have a solution (stick a bolt thru the muffler and tailpipe) for the next vmax. The car needs to go faster and at a drunken night out last night a mate suggested nos, hmmm...
Many thanks,
BJ

It was a nice sharpening of the reflexes seeing it , double taking seeing it , thinking I'm not lifting this could be a good run , thinking shit I'm heading straight for it , realising it's a muffler, thinking can I just go over it, thinking perhaps not, thinking I wonder what swerving at this speed is like and then managing to avoid it all in a very short amount of time! I had my camera filming out the back window on that run, you can see me move over then the muffler on the floor straight afterwards. Luckilly the wind noise meant the mic didn't pick up my expletives!
Overall I was pleased with how stable the car was with said adjustment of direction, so all's well!
I did make a hasty call to Craig on the way back round the track though as I feared for worse, but Craig was already on it.

NOS ? you managed to get enough clean air between your tyres and the tarmac on our way back from the Shell station as it was. (I barely had enough time to register your car taking off before mine followed suit )ThatPhilBrettGuy said:
190mph with the first run of the day. To be honest I expected more, but hey, it beats Jason's 189mph so it's job done really!
Nice to chat to some old faces and meet some new. I don't know how many runs I did, but 45ltrs of fuel seems to have gone somewhere .
Glad you got to 190 Phil but I agree would have expected a bit more really, my 189 was registered on a blistering hot day in standard spec.......I would hopefully expect to be nearer 200 with the pulley change and Tubi........wonder if i'll ever be able to attend and test my GT out with the Tubi in situ? Craig? Nice to chat to some old faces and meet some new. I don't know how many runs I did, but 45ltrs of fuel seems to have gone somewhere .

It's really strange actually. We must compare dyno plots at some point!I know it's pulling good numbers. Adrian in the Noble was level with the CGT. Bloody fast then! And then, apart from a bit too much wheelspin at the start, I was level with Adrian. So, no shortage of power then. Hhhmmm, tyre pressures? Ride height? Hot days have thinner air and the power doesn't drop as much as we think it would? Me being fatter?
