And can I say what an absolute delight and pleasure it was to be travelling up the M40 this morning at 08:00 and come across a silver Chevvie Camaro.

Suffice to say we heard it about 1/2 a mile before we saw it hehe

So really nice to see (and hear) you again Keith thumbup

What a great day! I was optomistic about the weather sinc ehte forcast was exactly the same as it was for the Silverstone round of the BGT last year. On arrival home my youngest daughter came out with the message 'Mum says if you have a tan you're not allowed in!' LOL She's still not forgiven me for the tan I got at Snetterton :P

Anyway, Thanks very much Paul and the rest of the PH staff for sorting this out and a big thanks to the guy handing out the tickets who gave me his Parking pass. As it turned out, we didnt see anyone checking passes or even tickets!

It seemed my description of myself was pretty accurate since a number of people came up and said 'hi'. GTRman-2, thanks for coming up and saying high. That car of yours sounds amazing! Paul, great to meet you. Although we didn't get to chat again, I'll email you my contact details.

I think one of the highlights of the day, and the most classic line ever had to be whilst in the Damax pit. I'm sat there chatting away to Paul when someone walked upto me, held out his hand and said the immortal line...'Hello, I'm Kinky!' I tell you, for a split second I thought I'd pulled before I remembered who Kinky was! lol, classic biggrin

Unfortunately thats my last BGT race meeting this year although I'm hoping to be camping with my family for the LMES weekend.

In an interesting bit of news, I heard today from one of the drivers that Aston Martin are starting up their own league next year and all the other teams are invited to join. Does anyone else have any news on this? It sounds like its going to be a BGT2. The other good news is that Kevin Riley and Ian Flux will be staying in Britain next year and doing full seasons in the BGT, Britcar and the afore mentioned Aston league. Roll on Easter! biggrin

Nice one Garlick, Hazel and i had a excellent day today. Ta very much indeed!! All hail Garlick bow
You see....the rain doesn't follow you to every meet after all wink Very well organised day, cracking event and everything was as promised, including the sunshine. Pleasure to meet you too thumbup

Fantastic racing, very exciting and 'LOOOOOOUD', just the way it should be. It's better than TV surround sound for sure, and until SmellyVision arrives you can't beat the smell of well utilised clutches and brakes hehe

Don't ask me how we wangled the pit walk and on grid passes....lets just say sometimes you have to trust to luck and be in the right place at the right time. Would love to do it again please, Silverstone is a great venue biggrin

On a more serious note.....Shame on those that were allocated tickets, and didn't pass them on due to the fact they knew they weren't going to turn up. Fancy being allocated 'FREE TICKETS' and not even bothering to turn up to the meet. They could have gone to more deserving individuals IMHO!!

5***** for PH TYVM chaps clap

Of course it does, I'm glad it was such a good PH event, and Garlick deserved a change in his luck.

Garlick was going to stapled to a stake and burnt if it rained again!

I was thinking of making a little wax doll and cutting off a lock of his hair to stick to it, then sacrificing it to the Rain Gods who he obviously needs to appease for some evil he's done in his past life.
