Don't forget that this Monday is a bank holiday so it's a possibility.

FWIW. I live in Fareham and very often do the "Sussex invasion" route:

I start out from Micks at the top of Portsdown Hill - advantage is the brekkie bacon roll smile - head down the back of the hill past Southwick to Wickham - up the A32 (please observe the 30's through the villages guys BIB everywhere) - right at the West Meon Hut onto the A272 - up one jcn on the A3M - turn onto the A272 towards Midhurst - 1st right towards Nurstead - South Harting to Lavant - there is a LH turn that takes you through Lavant onto a long straight alongside Goodwood Curcuit - go into GW (poss coffee and tyre kicking at the flying club as this is through the tunnel biggrin ) - head in to Chi - bypass north up Spitalfield Road, round past the Fire Station and up St. Paul's Road towards East Ashling - Funtington - Westbourne - Emsworth - onto the A259 to the A27 - quick blat up the A27 to the Bedhampton/A3M turnoff - go under the A3M but head off the first exit - take the immediate right back up the hill - finish back at Micks for lunch!!!

IMHO this is a great route taking in some of the best roads in the area. In fact I may ell do this on Sunday if anyone wants to join me.

BTW - it may well be linking this to the South Coast forum in case anyone has missed it.
