Maybe they are not doing one this year?
Surely they must have a good idae of when it will be by now.
If they are doing one , suspect it will be later in the year
And not Snetterton

I'm up for any dissorganised event wink

As a note, the british F3 and GT are on 7th and 8th June at.....wait for it...Snetterton rolleyes

Seriously thought, as an actual venue (apart from in being in the middle of nowhere) it's not too bad.

There's plenty of space
Some additional toilets wouldn't be too expensive, and certainly would be a welcome addition though.

It was only the weather that put a dampner on proceedings, the weather alone. Walking to toilets and showers in decent weather wouldn't have been that bad.

I'm up for where ever it's decided to go.

Knockhill '08 it is then, glad thats decided see you all there biggrin
When we said we wanted somewhere with less rain than Snetterton, we weren't really thinking of anywhere that only fitted the category because all the water falls as snow! wink
laugh

Personally I don't care where it is, Snetterton is ace for me (40 min drive) but as missus kerbed my Le Mans trip - springing surprise wedding invite on me - I will be dissapearing to where ever it may be.

The problem was that the showers were like something out of a public school with no privacy and trying to get dry in that freezing weather in a big open changing room meant I had to talk it down before I could pee afterward frown Becca also had major issues with the accessible toilet that Snetterton gladly proclaimed they had as it was the other side of the site and near-impossible to use according to her.

My main issue was that I brought the dodgy sleeping bags I had as I had little warning that I was going and will go out and buy some army green maggots next time. I don't want to sleep in the MR2 with the engine running again...
The showers were fine, does anybody honestly care if they have to shower next to some blokes? Nobody gives a st if theres wangers swinging about everywhere,(unless it was thewaves baldy one, the gayer) It was just like the gym. Except the ones at snet even had curtains! WRT becca, it was a shame it didnt suit her needs but its a camping festival afterall.
hehe

I was going to post something similar yesterday but refrained, but you're right, it's not like we're at school anymore. Showers were hot and wet, what more do you want? Becca_s situation wasn't ideal, but i'm sure something could be sorted for wherever we are next.

Anyway, PH have stated there are no plans for PF as yet, and something will be sorted in the summer frown

Sounds good to me. Anyone put any plans in motion?
Rather than one person take the burden, how about a small group of us get together to cobble something up?

It could be no more than finding a decent enough camping field with facilities, and just reserve 100 or so pitches, with a pay on the gate. Or a more detailed event with a Marquee, bar & band, which would need a fair bit more organisation, and proper accounting/payment, not to mention some sort of commercial liability cover.
Sounds good to me. I'll gladly help out if necessary.
Same here wink

I'm happy to get the wheels in motion

If not PistonFest then

What sort of 'fest would it be?

I'm bumping this one, because it has more activity and will appear on everyone's contributions biggrin

The Snetterton 2CV 24 Hour Race is on the 7/8/9 August 2009.

Anyone up for a meet, bit of camping etc?

Seeing as PH Towers don't seem that bothered, I may go ahead and sort something myself (would prefer PH to do it though!)
