Castle Howard Hill Climb mystery
Discussion
Saw the question asked in 2007.
Yes, there was a hill climb at Castle Howard. It was for the Wharfedale Trophy held on 7th April 1963.
It was a run up a hill and across the front of the house.
I competed in my Lotus X1, blew a head gasket on my second run.
I saw a programme offered on eBay but it had sold before I saw it. Damn.

I think it must have made a comeback for a couple of years?
'Might have a paddock photo from the late 1960s too.
