How about everybody brings a sign to stick in their windscreen to say what their PistonHeads name is. I've been to a few of the Virginia Water meets and PistonFest and generally haven't got much of a clue who's who.

See you there (with a sign in my windscreen )

Should be there.

At least I haven't got far to go for the start (about a mile).

Sad to say it Guy, but you were right .......

I re-fitted the camshaft with chemical metal holding those 4 lifters together.

I got stick-o-flex to keep the steel floor pan fixed to the chassis.

That body filler worked a treat when moulded into the shape of a brake pedal ..... and .....

...... if you put enough in, that 3-in-1 oil works fine in the engine!

I knew you were only trying to help, cheers!

Paul.

If the weather continues like this do we have any idea of how busy Hayling Island will be on Sunday?

Are we going to be OK actually getting across the island and into the car park?

Not trying to rain on anyones parade, but we might want to use our local scout (.mark) to ensure we get there at suitable time.

jeremy you have a point. I was down there last Sunday and it was considerably busier than last year - we are almost a month earlier...

We may need to send local scouts to the venue to try and grab parking. I have deliberately moved timings back by 3/4 of an hour or so from last year to try and allow peeps to get a drink at the Ship. We *may* find that this reduces parking availability..although if everyone reverse parks (PLEASE DO!) we can actually double layer park since everyone will be leaving at the same time. Hayling Island parking could be more of an issue - but ... hopefully we'll overcome that. Since this is a public event it is almost inevitable that that there will be some "members of the public" parked up with us.....just one of those things I think.

Any organisational ideas are very welcome BTW...Mark and I are amateurs at this sort of thing after all...

LOL Paul you are a cheeky bugger and no mistake. It'll be lovely to see you. Is Mrs Ultimapaul and (IIRC) the young Ultimapauls along on Sunday?

Knowing how busy the south coast resorts get with Sunday day trippers, I'm just concerned that we'll be faced with a queue stretching across the island, with little or no parking at the end of it.

Mark - what is it likely to be like?

Well - the parking area is quite large. Last Sunday there was certainly space for the numbers we had last year - although getting an exclusive area for us can't be done as it is a public facility.

I don't think it should be a problem...
