Seriously though.........i will be there and if anyone would like a lift, then let me know.

If you're going to be at the back, you need to bring a rusty Jag

It would be great to drive next to you, nice sunny day with the hood down and listening to Mario Lanza on your 8 track

Seriously though,if you are going to combine the trip, youre going alone and you want a lift.....you can come with me if you want to rest the Jag

You'd never hear over your exhaust anyway.

Mrs S "hasn't decided" about coming or not. If she decides against attending, then I'll take you up on that offer.

Estimated arrival between 12:30-1pm. Don't know the name of the pub, but it's the lakeside one with the outside seating (but we'll be going inside).

MMMMMMM two meets I wouldn't mind attending, well aren't I in a pickle, I've already commited to VW, and it is a damn sight nearer than MK, How about a convoy from Dunstable to VW?

As already mentioned we are having a normal local meet in the pub at Willen so it makes no sense to drive down to Surrey if the rest of the gang are going to be going to the pub. The drive is an additional thing this time.

I think the LB pub meets are going to be a monthly occurence ....so there's always the next month if you can't manage this one

OK Here's my offical line on the date etc () :

If you want to go to VW, then go. VW doesn't happen often, whereas LBMnB is meant to be a monthly occurence, and as such is frequent enough so that people don't need to feel they are missing out because they fail to make one date. I've always said that if you can't make one date, then let me know and I'll do my best to ensure the next one is on a date you can make. At the last meet we agreed that a weekend-lunchtime meet would be good to see the various cars in the daylight. Unfortunately, of the sundays in October one person, who FWD and I promised to consult, can only make the 26th.

FWD, Oggs and I decided to try organising a run before the pub meet, and this is what will start from Dunstable Downs. This is our first attempt at a run and won't be our last. We will try to do a daytime meet once every three or four months, and we may or may not organise a run before hand.

Next time we do a weekend meet, yes we'll do our best to avoid a date which clashes with other events. However we can't promise this will never happen because there are only a few sundays a month, and we tend to hold the meetings near the end of a month which kind of limits our options (especially if we try to fit it round someone's availability!!).

So if you want to go to VW, then go and don't feel you're missing anything here. We'll still be here next month at a different pub on a different night having a laugh (or we may even see you at BTaP!).

All in all, I know I can't please everyone all the time, and thus I'm not going to try.
