Thanks Jay for arranging the run, it was well worth it, even though I didn't drive, and to everyone in our group as well for making it so enjoyable!
The group leader in the 968 really was impressive in leading the group and did a top job, so a special thank you to as well.
Nicke999 - Your Aston is very impressive and really does sound amazing, especially when you floored it on that final bit heading to Dunton, but if you want I'm more than happy to swap!

WOW what a morning. The run was fantastic and I would just like to take a moment to say a big THANKYOU to my group leader in the 968, top job mate. The pace was great and you managed to keep the hole group together, even putting a pee stop in at Goudhurst, lol. I vote that you lead every run you ever go on mate!!
It was my other halfs first run and although she's not in to cars she enjoyed the run and meeting some nice people. We were in the black Porker Turbo and it was great to run with another Turbo (Hunt The Fox). In fact it was great to run with everyone in our group. I hope the guys in the Alfa GTA made it back ok as that car was a little fighter, how's your arms mate?? To the fellas in the Cobra, it was great to have a blat with you the car sounds awesome!!
Anyway thanks Jay for arranging a brilliant run.

Hi Jim. Unfortunately my back was playing up so I had to let my brother start the run, except he enjoyed it so much that he wouldn't give up the keys until we got to Dunton. The car is a little fighter but it's not that bad, he just hadn't driven it in a while so was out of practice. His arms are fine but he did end up with a bruised face from a large stone that flicked up into the car while he had the window down, he didn't realise until after because of the adrenalin.It was my other halfs first run and although she's not in to cars she enjoyed the run and meeting some nice people. Was my F40. Great run out, nice to get a good run in the car. May have been in the F40 but Jay set a very quick pace!ha
I was right behind you in the red GTO. What a car that F40!! Following you was really the highlight of my day.I had both my windows open right from the start (and was freezing my ass off), just to hear the fanomenal sound it makes.
And as always a briliant run Jay. Been doing quiet a few runs now with the different clubs (PH, petrolhead nirvana and GTO club) but the Kentrun (ever since my first one in 2006) still remains the main run to look forward to each year.
Thanks for putting all the time and efford into it yet again!
Fuel = £30
Oil = £15
Red Bull = £5
Setting your alarm to 5PM rather than 5AM and missing the Kent Run (and the opportunity to see an F40 in the flesh) = Priceless
Really cannot believe I missed this as it would have been a great opportunity to give my car a run before I go to Uni!
Anyway glad you all had a good run and hopefully I will see you all on the next one!

Looked like a brilliant run, but a rubbish morning for me..
Didn't get back from work till 3am sat night, in my sleepy stupor set alarm for 5am. So got up, fired up the car, filled with fuel trekked round the M25/M20 and found Tazio still stuck at the services wondering why I was an hour late..! Stayed with him till recovery man came (and of course as is the way, his car then started and ran fine.. ! typical...)
Thought I'd skip the run and made my way up to Dunton through town, stopping for brekkie, and just as I came onto the A127 about 2 miles from Dunton exhaust made a big clatter, clutch felt odd, and major clunking.. Tunes out my crankshaft has snapped at the front on my new engine.. nice...

Thanks for organising a great run Jay... it made leaving Milton Keynes at 3:30 well worth while. It was great to see so many fantastic cars (especially the F40 and Prodrive Aston... also loved the 928 with orange wheels) driven so enthusiastically. Thanks to the VRS for leading our group from Rye in a fast but considerate manner making sure the group stayed together as much as possible... shame the Caterhams couldn't always keep up ;-) ....and can still smell the smoke from the MX5's tyres as it braked a little too suddenly after finding the group stopped as it came round a bend. I don't know whether the huge grins were from relief or exhilaration. :-))
First Kent Run and definately looking forward to the next one.

Well done on another fantastic run Jay. It's always a pleasure to come along and enjoy it with everyone. Oh, and buy your other half a jumper next time

We didn't want all the people we passed by to think we were hair dressers too - open tops and in a convoy, it's an easy mistake to make black car said:
