PH Sunday Service - Update!

Joining instructions for the PH Sunday Service at the Wilton House Charity Supercar Show

Expensive house, expensive car...
Expensive house, expensive car...
Don't miss this one! The PistonHeads Sunday Service visits Wilton House in Salisbury from mid-day to 4pm this Sunday (August 9th), as PH has been invited to support the Wilton House charity supercar show on the same afternoon.

Wilton's owner Lord Pembroke has kindly arranged a separate parking area for the PH Sunday Service at this exciting event, which we are informed can only be accessed from the Netherhampton Gate to the Wilton House estate. We've not been on a site recce ourselves, but you should be able to get there using sat-nav by entering the following postcode - SP2 8PX - and keeping your wits about you.

Please do not turn up before 11am, as the gate will not be open due to security and staffing issues at Wilton House. We have been told there's no space to wait at the gate before 11am, so we don't want early birds trying to form a queue either!

As well as hosting the PH Sunday Service, Lord Pembroke is opening the grounds of his stately pile to an anticipated one hundred top-end supercars, and to the general public. While the PH get-together won't cost a bean, entry to the supercar show itself will cost £5 - but we know you won't mind as proceeds are going to the Stars Appeal, a charity that's raising money for a children's centre at Salisbury hospital. There's also a chance to win a ride in Lord Pembroke's own Bugatti Veyron.

Judging by the list of PH cars on the thread below, this looks sets to be a cracking event - and in case you're still not decided, the BBC weather forecast shows 21 degrees and sunshine all day. See you there then!

Hi all, if I may add a couple of things -

This event at Wilton House is a follow up, of sorts, to the Mulberry Meet I helped organise last year -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj3B2N3akY0

http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyI...

The PH Sunday Service is in the grounds but separated from the House and the supercar display by a river - it's £5 CASH at the bridge to get across, and proceeds go to the Stars Appeal.

The PH Sunday Service is open to EVERY PH MEMBER and numbers are not realistically limted, unlike at Wadhurst or VW, so get that list going!

However, the 'up to 100 supercars' for the display is being organised by myself using my own contacts. If YOU have (or someone you know has) an F40 / F50 / 288GTO / Enzo / Caparo / 430 Scud / Veyron / Zonda / Koenigsegg / Reventon / Diablo / Murcielago / Countach / Miura / Gallardo SL / Ford GT / Carrera GT / 911 GT1 / SLR / XJ220 / Ascari / McLaren / Mosler / Pantera or anything seriously intersting, you are welcome to PM me and I will consider each enquiry on an individual basis, however I am limited to 100 cars and my invitations are already being sent out. The list of display cars/owners is not going to be made public.

That said, I can 100% guarantee you the Veyron will be there wink

Correct Sir, also the very gentleman kind enough to drive Tony Hetherington 100 miles the wrong way from home on a cold Sunday afternoon last November, after the Mulberry meet. And to drive me to it, in the morning wink -

As Jay said, the Supercar display is along the lines of the Mulberry meet which wasn't a public event, the difference here is that everyone will have an opportunity to be a part of it.

Some serious metal will be on display, but then knowing PH that will just be in he PH section. biggrin

It's a fun thing to do on a sunday afternoon and there's always the chance we may be able to sort out a convoy down there wink.
