Dennis - thanks for the info - I'll call them tomorrow. Just not too sure what wrap to go for if I go ahead? ideas anyone? was thinking that if I do it, may as well go a bit crazy! Chrome would look good I think. What sort of price do you reckon Dennis?

Cheers.

Hi Sparkyclarky

A Chrome vinyl wrap is the most difficult option to do - the material is also the most expensive - I'd think you'd be looking at about £3-3.5K to get your car done in Chrome wrap. The visual effect is stunning when done though! my personal opinion is that only a 'few' cars can actually pull the look of Chrome off well. However as with most things that conceptually sound as though they might not turn out good, it's probably the case if someone was brave enough to chrome wrap an e46 M3 or E39 M5 or M6 or X5 and say an Audi RS4 or Golf R32 etc etc etc, they might look better in the metal than in my mind!

A good 6 months or so before last seasons must have 3M D1 NOC Vinyl Carbon Fibre wrap was seen at many car shows, Totally Dynamic had the material in stock fresh from the Manufacturer and were in the process of doing a Range rover and a Ferrari in complete body wraps - and they were looking awesome!

Pop over and go see them in Enfield, have a good look at potential options and discuss and have a think of what you'd like to go for!

Matt black does look good there's no doubt, yes it has been 'popular' to do but it's still an option. Depending on how 'crazy' you want to go, if you do stay a little restrained, how about one of the BMW individual colours instead?! say a colour not seen on the M6? Laguna Seca blue from the E46? Sepang Bronze from the E60 M5? Chiaretto red from the E39 M5? or others perhaps?!

Later, if I do decide to wrap my car I'll do something like the above - an individual M or BMW colour that was not offered on the E39.

Good luck whichever way you go !

Cheers, Dennis! West London & Slough UK!

My first meet - thanks everyone, a very well organised event and some serious metal there, nice one all.

As some others have said, my lowly E46 clubsport disappeared into insignificance once everyone else turned up. Looking forward to the next one tho!

First time at the ACE and what a selection of cars.

Given how cold it was I was suprised to see so many cars. You may need a bigger car park as the weather warms up though.

Interesting drive back ended up following a Skoda with Union Jacks on the side and MacMillian nurses. Fastest Skoda I've seen went like stink. If anyone has any ideas what in let me know as my son wants one for his mum.

Good to see you John, that Skoda belongs to James a mate of mine, it's not bad is it?
I 've followed him all over Europe and it's a great piece of kit.

his user name is GO VRS and it does biggrin
Harsh,

Should have guessed it would be someone you'd know. I'll drop him a line over the weekend love to find out what makes it go. I'm still working on the road name, but havig bought a new car and already planned one trip I think I'm all out of browny points for any more away days for a while.cry

Thanks for organising the night I'll come again once I've defrosted and and head back home with the roof down.
