Several years ago I was awoken by a continuous rumble of high performance cars passing by my house on Hayling Island, whilst several of my neighbours were outside shaking their fists and complaining to the local constabulary, I was jumping in my car to follow the stragglers to find out what it was all about. This was my first introduction to The PH, I wanted to know more about the club, and was given the details, joined up, and never looked back and enjoyed all the events I have been on. Great bunch of guys with no snobbery attached to the metal they own.

Perhaps we need to organise a repeat of that one, bare in mind I only saw the end of it, great location though on the beach, here is a bit of nostalgia for you;

Hi George
Bit of disappointment all round, as mentioned before, rear video had a technical fault, and the front video was not to good, however, will edit and post up a snippet later, but in the mean time, a few shots on the still camera;

Quite agree about the roads, perhaps you would care to join us on The Hampshire Ring run, that is a well suited run for the cars like yours, that want to stretch there legs. Overall though, a fantastic run out with some great people, by the way, got plenty of footage of the Gallardo, and just loved the tune it was playing lol. David

Who was the kid taking vids of all of the cars leaving the Morrisons car park? Anyone know if the vids are going to make it on here?

Lambo was purple..........! Was at the Ace Cafe last night and it's been wrapped pearlescent white and carbon - there will probably be some pics up on the ace cafe thread before too long......looked, er, awesome......! Some serious machinery turned up. A delicious XJ220 - first time I've seen one in the flesh.

Do you own a building company based in Carlshalton?
Your car looked very familiar.

That was my first big PH run as well and it was a superb route, done it a few times since.

Hmmm I've still got the ITN file and route guides for that scratchchin

The most important rule of PH runs - never drive outside of your comfort zone or allow yourself to be drawn into going faster than you're comfortable with.

Many times I lost sight of the chaps ahead of me as I slowed up for 30/40 limits. These I always show respect for. It simply isn't worth having an accident or picking up points/ban just for a 'hoon'.

Always drive at a pace you're comfortable with - cars that want to go quicker will overtake you if they want to.
There may have been no Plod there this time, we did try and come down to meet with the group. Our intention wasn't to annoy anyone, or put a damper on things, however I can assure you, that if people had been giving it some through the posted limits, they would have been stopped. When there is that many cars, there is always a possibility that peoples ego's will get the better of them and they'll want to prove they can keep up with the Lambo's and Porkies.

Everyone needs to remember you are posting on a public forum, that a lot of Plod also visit as they have a love for motors too (that's why most of us are in Traffic/RPU)

Stick to the posted limits and then make progress through the nationals and you shouldn't have a problem thumbup

Maybe see you on the next one smile
