No, I was with the medics, you probably saw us chasing the races in silver passats
A great way to get close to action to be sure Was it a 'busy' weekend for the meds? I imagine sunburn was probably the biggest problem, for the fans at least. On the subject of how warm it was, you have to tip your hat to the racers in some of the sportcars with minimal ventilation and a whopping great engine pumping out the heat = must be pretty damned uncomfortable in overalls/nomex/helmet/gloves.
Great way to lose weight though!
I'm pleased there was nothing too major for you and your people to deal with Lucy. As I'm sure you are too.
The unlucky gentleman driver on Saturday hit a wall on Club exit, they did indeed have to cut the top off to be on the safe side with his spine. The doctors did a great job and then he went off in an air ambulance. I believe he was checked out and he hadn't suffered any major damage.
It's fascinating hearing what's going on over the radios, I'm lucky to be involved in it.

I thought it was a great event. Very different to the Goodwood Revival but then its a very different set up. Its a proper race event rather than a display racing event - now I'm not saying its not heavily contested at the Revival, but it is a different kind of event IMO.
We were running a couple of the new 500 Abarths (one of which ended up on its lid at Copse during quali!).
I thought the 'add ons' were good this year, the stands, club displays etc - the quality of the acts on the main stage was average - The RPJ band on the Saturday night were excellent, but some of the others (Deadwood for example) were average at best. The Harley tent was good fun though!! We ended up partying in the paddock until far too late but I would say it needs later licencing!
Lucy - its a great job you do and its hugely appreciated by all of those involved although they probably don't often get to express it.
The lightweight looked sorry for itself, but I suspect its repairable.

Whose Lightweight E-Type was it? Was it a genuine car? I think Carlos Monteverde's is a real one, but not sure if there were any others racing last weekend. If they can repair the Bizarrini which Martin Stretton suffered that awful Goodwood smash in then I'm sure they can straighten out the E-Type.

I've done FOS (being a GRRC member) since the beginning. I agree its got over popular, particularly since the F1 teams arrived. It is still a great event though.
The Revival is something else. You won't regret it, theres too much to take in for just one day, on and off track.
Agree about the Revival but I havent been to the FOS for a few years. Watching cars go up the hill on their own is nowhere near as good as watching them race. The Revival is something else. You won't regret it, theres too much to take in for just one day, on and off track.

I really enjoyed Silverstone again this year and wasnt really looking forward to it as I went to the Le Mans Classic a few weeks ago but it was great.
The prices for food was a complete joke but the rest of it wanst too bad.
We had advanced tickets for all weekend through a club which were £40 and camped at Whittlebury Hall adjoining the circuit which was £20 each.
If I hadnt have drunk so much in the bars it would have been a pretty cheap weekend.
And if you hadn't paid that Thai hooker on the Arbath stand for a massage you'd have been able to stand your round on the Sunday
