I will be taking the Cerb down on the Saturday and Sunday and endeavouring to park somewhere within the TVR Car Club area.

Is it me or have the prices gone up significantly this year? I know the TVRCC are doing a 2 for the price of 1 ticket offer but without that it would have been almost as expensive if not as expensive as the Goodwood Revival.

Must say though, thoroughly enjoyed it last year- much more relaxed and far less busy than the Revival and I found it relatively easy to get up close to most of the cars even on the Saturday.

Can't remember the prices from last year?

I've not done Goodwood, but I'd imagine the concerts cost a fair whack to put on.

I can't remember exactly how much it was last year either but I am still thinking it wasn't as much as this year. Perhaps I am mistaken, who knows.

I have just had a look at the website and I have to say the quality of the grids and the variety of cars taking part in the racing looks even better this year than it did last year. Really looking forward to it.

Yes they could do with offering a day ticket option and possibly opening up the concert for people who aren't interested in the racing.

The downside being that there are no Group C cars this year - gutted.

I think the problem would be that once you are inside there would be no way of verifying whether you had a day ticket or a day/ evening (and therefore concert) ticket.

The music is not for me that's for sure, but then I travel to and from the event on a daily basis. I guess if you are camping or staying on site/ nearby for the duration it gives you that extra something to do in the evening.

Having said that, it would be interesting to know how many of the car/ racing enthusiasts actually stay on for the concerts.

I went last year, it would have been easy for them to close off the area where the bands played and check tickets. I went to 5 minutes of Santana last year on the Saturday and gave Blue and the Pussycat Dolls a miss on the Friday, I'd much rather have cheaper race tickets and no concerts. Not sure I'm going this year due to high prices and lack of Group C.

No group C is a downer indeed but I would like to think that the Royal Automobile Club TT might make up for it- If it is anything at all like the equivalent race- the RAC TT Celebration- at the Goodwood Revival it will be absolutely fantastic.

I also think the Italian Historic Car Cup- new for Silverstone this year has a potentially sensational line up of cars. I for one would pay just to listen to the Ferrari 330 LM/B at full pelt all day

i think no group c is a real shame, the ticket prices are nearly double now they have the music on in the evening. i have been the last 4 years and its a great event, but i'm giving it a miss this year. I don't agree charging people an extra £20 to watch x factor people sing!

le man classic is taking all my money this year.

Well with the car club offer, i'm paying £56.00 for a 3 day pass and camping all in.

Can't really grumble at that!

I agree that Friday is a great day to get close to the cars, I'm only in Milton Keynes so it's rude not to pop along, I'm going to be looking for design inspiration in the car park

Will be there, as usual. Racing two cars this year, both Alfas - My own Giulietta SZ in the RAC TT race (formerly pre-63GT) - Based on the grid for this race at Monza and Dijon this year, should be a stonking grid (several Ferrari GTOs and SWBs, plus assorted Aston and other exotica), although I must check my third-party liability cover....eek

Also co-driving a friend's GTA in U2TC (although why they've put that usually 'crowd-pleasing' race on at 10am on Saturday morning, I don't know!).

Feel free to come and say hello, if you're wondering around the paddock.

J

Will be there for the weekend - thoroughly looking forward to it.

A friends band are playing on the Saturday night and we've got a couple of cars running in the Abarth Trofeo which should be great. Will be taking the Healey and should be based in the paddock with all of the Abarth stuff.

I've just heard that they'll be using Bridge as usual at the Classic this year. Great news for my car club as we're usually placed just at the exit to that corner. Perfect for watching the racing.
