Anyone going to the classic this year?

My wife and I are going for the weekend and camping at Whittlebury.

Yes, I am going with a couple of mates, and there are usually quite a few across the forum who go.

We'll also be camping at Whittlebury so look out for a black Cerbera and a gaggle of Porsches...

Likely to be staying with a friend locally this time, after a couple of years camping at Whittlebury. You can't miss the PH mob - Pink Floyd and childish giggles give them away. Good bunch.

I plan on being there all three days as usual. I'll be on the Stratos Enthusiast's Club stand with my little Hawk replica.

We're usually sited at the exit of Bridge. Not sure if that will be the case what with the new track layout.

Which layout are they using this time round? Is it the old Historic GP circuit with the softened Club and still using Bridge?

Thanks for that. No less a day than the weekend then in your view?

Just as many cars on track and a very relaxed atmosphere, just the club stands will be a bit empty. Saturdays a bit busier with Sunday the busiest. Most cars on the club stand on sunday but about 30,000 more people getting in your way.

There nothing like sitting at the end of hanger straight with the place to your self!!

Here's a few of my photos

How very dare you!

I didn't break down last year.

It was instead a 'precautionary shutdown'. Just like when a nuclear power station is shut down before it suffers catastrophic, life threatening damage.

Bridge doesn't exist any more. Shame as it was a great place to spectate.

I'll be there 3 days too with the Frogeye. Midget & Sprite Club had the stand next to the Strati last year, dunno about this year. Will try and say hello either way. Will also be at Whittlebury.

Didn't the HSCC use the old GP circuit last month? I think that circuit is now referred to as the Bridge layout. I uspect the Classic may well use that configuration...
