Petersfield would be good, Im sure we could be persuaded to venture down from the smoke.

I'd vote for the Seven Stars too. Big Al, Danhay & I found a nice B road section en-route to the last meeting.

Bit late to this thread, sorry Roz! Thanks to all for the earlier compliments about the V8S too! paulsmith yhm. Back on topic - I agree the Seven Stars is a good venue and a nice run (certainly for me) on the A272 across Sussex. Want to hook up again Mel(anie)?

Well I think that's a definite thumbs up for our venue being the "Seven Stars" pub on the A272, Petersfield, on 28th March.

As most of you will already know, the pub is open from 12.00 noon and serves food from that time. If I get an idea of numbers, I'll see if I can book some tables. In any event, I shall give them prior warning that they can expect to be a little busier than usual on that day!!

Glad to hear your lot will hopefully be joining us Nick (ncs). Perhaps we can meet up at Pease Pottage Services again and then link up with Big Al and the others en route. We'll sort out what's best to do in the next week or so but I would anticipate being at PPS for approx. 10.30 am.

Looking forward to meeting you .Mark!

I shall be going straight to Pease Pottage Services from Haywards Heath. If anybody lives in or around Brighton and wants to meet up somewhere down there beforehand with others from the immediate area, then I would suggest that the best bet is for them to make a local arrangement.

Don't confuse the pub with the "other" seven stars pub just 5 (ish I think) miles down the same road (actually on the A3) or was that the one you were thinking of

Roz, will you have a spare passenger seat again ??

What other pub? Ben, I'm thinking of the one where everyone went for the Portsmouth/Southampton meet arranged by Mungo. Big Al knows which one I mean, perhaps he can confirm...

I'm afraid I won't have a spare seat this time, sorry Hmm...unless I bring the Audi A3

Matt (ropey), that's a shame but it was nice to see you on the 7th. Next time, maybe!

cacatous...I hope you're not sulking I'm sure the pub will do fish and chips, not in the same league as Harry Ramsdens but a compromise, surely?! And get that Anita to come along and bring her Tamora!

Big Al.

OK Seven Stars. Just read back through mungo's thread and came up with this map.

map here

Now I hope this link works, I‘ve never done this before.

Long time since I’ve said that!

Now mike_e, danboy and I came in via Petersfield on to Winchester via the A272
The pub is about 2 miles down the 272 on the left hand side. Just past Stroud IIRC.

Thats right, it's just to the west of Petersfield on the 272 at Stroud on that map.

Taken the liberty to cross post a bit here, but here's the link to the video of the south Hants route to the Brighton Burble 2 last weekend, with myself, Mel, Shnozz, Mrs Carzee and Andrew driving the V8 Esprit (sorry didn't get your PH handle) see here.
Thanks to Luca for hosting again.

There are indead 2 Seven stars on that map

One is about a mile out of midhurst, but the one you want (I think) is one the A3 just after the A3 A272 junction

No worries Roz, I'll leave her at home

Didn't realise we were heading so close to fernhurst. That'll save on RAC charges.
