Wilton House Supercar Show Is Back

Mark 14 August in your diary, as the biggest supercar show in, er, Salisbury returns!

Fans of supercars and stately homes rejoice – the Wilton House supercar show is back on Saturday 14 August for you to indulge your twin passions.

Even if you don’t particularly like stately homes, the Wilton House show is a definite must-see, as it’s a chance to get up close and personal with genuine supercar royalty.

Last year, thousands of people turned up to see all sorts of supercar loveliness lined up in front of Lord Pembroke’s stately pile, the highlights of which included Ferrari Enzos and F40s, all the Lamborghinis you could wish for (including a Miura), a McLaren F1 and the good Lord’s very own Bugatti Veyron.

This year the line-up should be just as strong, with Paganis, Bugattis, a Carrera GT - and many other hypercars - in the pipeline. There will also be a rev-off at 2pm, a unique chance to experience what competing V6s, flat-sixes,V8s, V10s, V12, and W16s sound like when they’re all howling in unison (bloody loud would be our guess).

Beyond the supercar fun, there will also be 700 parking spaces for more down-to-earth PH metal (call it a Saturday Service), and a ‘motor show’ with high-end dealers and trade stands (entry for this will be free for PHers).

Like last year, you will have to pay to get access to the supercar paddock and stately home, with tickets at £10 for adults, £5 for under 14s and free for under 5s. There are also family tickets (two adults, two children), priced at £25 (though these are only available in advance).

It’s all for a good cause, though, in support of the Salisbury District Hospital Stars Appeal, a local charity headed by Lord Pembroke.

Last year 6000 eager supercar fans turned up, and this year we’re reliably informed that there’s been ‘significantly more interest’ in the event, so the 10,000 available tickets could go quickly.

If you fancy it, then get it booked in advance – you can buy Wilton House tickets via this link – although tickets will be available on the gate.

Sounds good.

Might take the Box of Frogs up to Salisbury for the day, although it would be a shame to show the supercars up!

Anyone thinking of heading up from the west country?

Superb! Sounds good.

If you can take the ignominy of having the Box of Frogs tagging along, I'll be there. If not, I'll bring the Audi! smile

I'll be joining the A30 at the Sourton junction/A386 (Shell garage).

And this is precisely why we're advising that PHers buy their tickets in advance. thumbup

So long as it doesn't rain I will be there, may meet up with the south west guys for the convoy.
It would be rude of me not to put these "super cars" in their place with my little 1.3 Westfield at 395 bhp per ton!

It's down to how the ticket booths/parking areas are laid out.
