Thanks to Alf Essex for the ride in the Tuscan S, what did you manage by the end of the day? Did I leave my camera cover in your car by any chance?!

How did the weather hold up then? Did the sun come out?

209 in the RUF? So wish i had stayed.

Next time i will be there all day!

No problem hope you enjoyed it. Only got up to 163...in fact did 3 runs exactly the same speed (163)....disapointed I didn't make the 170's but hey theres always next time

Not to worry, i must have just let go of the cover at some point due to excessive excitment whilst filming at the starting line!

Found it (see your original post). Yes it got drier which is why the speeds picked up late morning.

Had to leave at 12 to get bak for Mothers day gathering, but had a great time, thanks to Craig / Greg etc for great organisation, top show, although it could turn out to be an expensive one after hearing those 360s and 355s

did it dry out pm? would have hit 172 I reckon, as could only get enough drive in the wet to post 168mph, guess thats not bad for a big barge tho....

cant wait to see who was top.......

The M5 run was definately the most fun out of all of them, with the sideways action at the end

Red Masser x2, Black 993 turbo (spun at 1st corner ), Tuscan, M3 CSL, silver 996TT, but no MR2 if that's what you were driving, if you were , what speed did you post?

i think that was adamt's M5 deciding it had had enough of a thrashing and wasnt going to rev above above 3k until it had had a rest

fantastic day............starting with the convoy from South Mimms ...........amazing............the chaps at the Shell garage were dumbfounded........

and managed to redline the Breadvan at 7800 in 5th

not quite the stellar speeds of others but I was delighted with it

Blimey! Where do I start?

Well, a big to the drivers: without you this event wouldn't exist. Thank you so much for giving so many of us such great entertainment throughout the day, and thank you for your tireless patience, proffering passenger seats, queuing up for runs. Queuing for the burger van!

You're a wonderful bunch of people, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making it such a fabulous day.

A day, which started at 7:15am with Derestrictor pulling up on my driveway and bellowing "You appalling little man!!" at my window, before entering for coffee and breakfast.

Thanks also to Craig - this event keeps getting better and better! Together we had a great day of which I am sure there are memories that many will cherish for quite some time.

So, finally (roast dinner in the oven so have been told to keep it short), some group and individual thank you's, in no particular order:

456mgt - Kevin, what a wonderful car you have just acquired. Heartfelt thanks from Emma for the passenger run for Bruntingthorpe. What a car! What a noise! And you are one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting - I hope this is the first of many such occasions.

AdamT / Adams Dad Mike / Adams mum - again, a nicer family you could not wish to meet. Superlatives do not do the RUF justice. It is quite simply one of the finest cars I have ever had the opportunity to be driven in. The in gear acceleration was awe inspiring, reminded me of a 747 - no joke. Ladies and gentlemen - this car was the daddy. It clocked over 200mph on more than one occasion during the day. It never skipped a beat, and felt solid like the north face of Mount Everest. This in spite of driving rain and light hail - truly stupendous. Thank you from me and Emma.

Ninja Eli - Ali, great to meet you and Nat at last, and thank you so much for a passenger ride in Maranello's finest ragtop. You may have cost me a lot of money in doing that for Emma - time will only tell...

DAZ - Darren, you came, you saw, but alas you did not conquer. It takes nothing away from the fact you are one of the most generous people I know and your heart is the size of a small African nation. PH is better for your presence. Thank you for entertaining so many people so tirelessly and selflessly. On a personal note, I was delighted to see you in a few passenger seats - I hope you savoured them.

And finally to Ted. Not the fastest car, not the most larger than life character, but without you, we wouldn't know each other. PH is a special place. A great group of people. Today, that sentiment was no clearer seen.

Thanks again for a truly wonderful day - apologies for the sometimes shitty weather.

Nik Only 147 (on that run too as it happens) the M5 was fully loaded, did you lend it to someone?

only 147, not bad condidering the speed - £ ratio?
