Reminder: PH Open Season at the Ace Cafe

Snow or no, we're still (planning) to go... Saturday 18th December

Update: Snow permitting, the PistonHeads meet at the Ace Cafe tomorrow will be going ahead as planned, and as it's 'Open Season' the roof will still be down (perhaps).

In all seriousness, should we be under a few feet of snow tomorrow we will do our very best to make it over to North London, but we are in the hands of the weather gods somewhat - keep your fingers crossed. (But we do love a challenge!)

For those of you who missed the original announcement, here it is again:
Winter sun and a burger in a bun - Saturday 18th December

We've cooked up an impromptu meet at the Ace Café this Saturday, for any PHers who want to join us in the spirit of the PH Open Season and bask in the glorious wintry sunshine officially guaranteed by the BBC. (It's on the internet, so it must be true...)

If you'd like to attend and help support PH Open Season, first make sure a) that you add yourself to the list in the thread below and b) that you've got a soft top to drive - don't worry though, having a convertible is not essential, but perhaps drop a window or two to enter into the spirit of things.

The car park holds approximately 50 cars, and rather than reserve spaces we will run an open car park format, meaning you can come and go as you please. We'd like names on the list in order to get an idea of numbers, but parking will be offered on a first come, first served basis. (Although as cars will be coming and going all day, finding a space should be easy enough.)

The café will be serving hot food and drinks throughout (at your expense, naturally!), so if your roof is down, come and join us for a warming brew at this legendary London Café.
See you there!

PH Open Season Meet:
Ace Café London
North Circular Road
London
NW10 7UD

11am - 4pm (Open gate format - so come and go as you please.)

I'll park down a side street!

MX5 is poorly, TVR is resting and the Alfa might be taken by one of my colleagues.

Of course! In all seriousness, it would be great to see as many convertibles as possible but a token gesture to the cause will suffice biggrin

TBH I think those that are going, may like to consider something 'non-convertible':

Does this count as open top?

Might be more appropriate given the forecast - too far for me to travel though.

How dare you! It has been cleaned, serviced and MOT'd but it resting undercover until the salty nastiness disappears (unlike Sinclair who just carries on regardless) smile

been waiting for an excuse to go to the Ace cafe for a while now. Don't have a cabrio though. Not my thing. Won't get too many evils for turning up in a coupe will I? Only person I know with a cab, my uncle and his 1948 MG TC. Hardly his scene though. = )
