Har har, all right very funny - for those unaware my MR2 had a massive overheat en route and Steve hung back to help out and keep me company - very much appreciated.

The meet looked like a good one, shame we missed most of it - had a good look round the museum though. Did anyone else like almost all of the concept cars in there? I particularly liked the proto-MGF, TR7 fastback and the Michelotti Mini(?) on the mezzanine bit, looked like a baby Plymouth Barracuda!
Just hope you are willing to wait by the side of the road whilst I get my head re-skimmed when it happens!

Discussing the concept cars, very interesting "What-if's?" there. The TVR-based MG was bloody gorgeous!

Just got home to Edinburgh.

Another top day out chaps and Sarah. smile

The pancakes and bacon were worth the detour on the way home.

Nom, nom, nom.

That '60' reg Subaru looked nice too wink Really enjoyed a general much around some great motors. Although the winners for me were the PH AMG Metc and the £7.10 breakfast.
i agree on price, breakfast with a +1 was an expensive affair!

C63 AMG estate performance pack - when i need a more grown up car that is top of the list. Love it. And dont even get me started about how sad i am with my brake caliper obsession. The Merc's red ones are great.
But the F430 with the yellow ceramics were best of the day. (The GT2's were too dirty to take top spot!!)

Thanks to Garlick and the PH boys - great SS, shame about the weather and the bacon baps (bacon in cardboard! smash)

Some great cars there. Loved the Camaro, Sagaris, Lambos and the Landy. Some nice old Rovers there too which was a bit of a surprise.

The white Renault 21 looks like a good sleeper, i'm sure it surprises a few people wink would love to know the specs on it.

Hope to be at the next one.

That'll be my old Land Rover then, as I didn't see another in the PH carpark. smile, sorry it wasn't to your taste.
Oddly I took my oldest lad (13) . We wandered around looking at lambos, ferraris etc. All of which got an 'I like that' from the boy. Then we come across an ancient landy, gently decaying as they do. Before I could even say 'Now that I like' he came out with ' cool' then spent more time looking over it than any other car.

Appreciates proper machinery does my lad smile

Weather could have been worse...turn-out pretty good. Parked up and then realised I was next to that fantastic sleeper of a 500E! Kudos to the Caterfields for turning up, too...

Oh...and am I wrong for thinking the XJ220 shape is improving with age?!?

Sorry I toyed with the idea of bringing my IIa 109 but as it was wet and horrible when I left home I took the classic that wouldn't drown me on route hehe

I agree! However, do you mean the XJ220?
I may be out-geeked but I never knew Jag made an XK220 :-/

I agree regards the XJ220 and also how the E Type still looks the pinnacle of car design. A beautiful thing indeed.

Shame about the damp start, car was gleaming on its way there this morning and now looks worse than it did after two weeks of unwashed commuting, had to dash as daughter was in a sports event in Oakham so also just got back home, never mind it will clean again and gleam sparkly white once more

Many thanks to Garlick and the team - a really good day despite the weather. Some really interesting cars and a good chance to chat to fellow enthusiasts. To Scooby, sorry for filthy state of the GT2 yellow calipers but I'd enjoyed a good run along the country (read muddy!) roads on the way up - happy to say they're nice and clean again!

It's a 21Turbo Quadra. One of only 146 UK 4wd models produced. Spec in a nutshell-
2.0 4 pot 8v with a T3.
Stripped (very), dropped 40mm at front, Cossie 4x4 turbo with full 3" exhaust and 38mm ext.WG/ screamer pipe. 3" FMIC, 18psi boost. 2 fuel pumps and swirl pot, front and rear strut braces.
Does 0-60 in about 6ish and pace wise isn't too far off a Focus RS, probably has the edge in the corners.
Engine is factory standard inside so lots, lots more to come smile

Special mention for the driver of the Octavia vRS, reg K10 VRS. Save that behaviour for your mates down at McD's, there's a good chap. We don't need people like you turning up to events and getting us a bad name with the people kind enough to host PH events.

Looking at the list of attendees, I reckon you're one of two potentials, neither of whom contribute to the forum. Perhaps Garlick could investigate further and communicate some expectations?

It's not the first vRS on the attendee list, that's blue and would be a '11' plate.

The reg you list belongs to a Black 2002 vRS

Ah ok. There was only a black one with green detailing and a blue brand new one so am going with the assumption it was the black one, as the blue ones owner has been on here for a while.
