Tyre pressure vs fuel economy

TBH ive never measured my fuel econ before but im going to ive only had my new to me car 3 weeks and not checked it or the tyre pressure so far. However ive just had some new tyres delivered today so once they are on i will have a crack at it.

I always run my tyres at higher than what is recomended more so the car feels how i like it more than anything else. Different makes of tyres need different pressure to achieve this. Ive always thought that the fuel eco is a little better when the tyre is pumped up higher and i like the feel of the car better.
