Hi All,

I want to replace the tubing for my power steering as above - it's not the high pressure side, just the low pressure return side.

I'm a little confused as to what material I should be using - is PS fluid particularly corrosive?

I can't just buy a direct replacement as it's for my 205 gti6, and I've relocated the PS reservoir and the reason I want some new tubing is that I'm not happy with the routing using the 'standard' 306 return pipe, so I need some generic stuff.

Demon Tweeks isn't very helpful - what are fit car guys using, for example?

Cheers,

Adam.

I think you will find that Peugeot Dealers sell it by the meter?

Really?! The existing return pipe is formed but if they also sell it by the meter that's great news!

Well you arent being very specific.

Flexible, rigid ? what fittings ? Push on ? other ?

ATF is more or less just an oil, so any suitable oil/fuel hose would do.
Available at any motor factors or anywhere that sells hoses really.

Flexable, 18mm i guess (I'd have to measure to be specific) push on. Will get in contact with some hydraulic suppliers.

18mm hose ? on PAS ? not likely. Do bare in mind flexible hoses are measured on inside diameter.

ie outside diameter of any hard pipe they go onto.

I did this when I replaced on my car recently... It needs to be oil resistant, best take a sample in and they will confirm
