Those of you who have been in here for several years will know my friend, mentor and confidante David Vizard who popped in here briefly a couple of years ago. His 18 year old daughter Jacque, who suffered from extreme depression, has just passed, in what exact circumstances I do not know other than she could no longer face the torment that she perceived life to be. My thoughts are with him and his family.

And now sadly the same thing again with Robin Williams. Of course his suicide has affected millions, myself included, and Jacqueline Vizard's will be known to only the family, friends and those who have seen my postings but the tragedy is equal. What an awful week.

Sad news indeed.

Depression is a tough thing to live with for those that have it and the family around them that help then to try to cope.

My most sincere condolences.

Very sad news.

I lost a cousin to depression and have another cousin fighting it.

Hopefully Robin's passing will help raise awareness that depression is an illness, not a temporary state of mind.
