seat alhambra 2002 oil light/temperature warning

Hi my son in laws seat is playing up i am trying to see what is wrong can anyone help
when he drives the car from cold all is ok but when he has driven about 6-8 mile the oil light comes on and beeps three times and the car temperature goes down to zero then come back to normal after half a mile
by the way there is oil in the car
