hi, I have a fiat doblo for sale and it's proving very hard to shift. On the advert I have mentioned there is an engine management light on but I have since found out it's probably due to a faulty motorised throttle (p2107 from diagnostics).

Would I be better off including the detail on the advert about the faulty throttle particularly if it's relatively easy/cheap to fix?

At the moment it only says on the advert that the engine management light on and I think that is putting people off.

thanks

If it's cheap and easy to fix, then fix it cheaply and easily.

The fact that you haven't suggests to buyers that it will not be cheap or easy.

Fair comment! I am just spending so much on selling the car I am throwing money at it and going to take a massive hit anyway so just want to get rid now!

Very few people would buy a car with something as potentially expensive as an EML/ABS/ESC warning light on.

Either fix it or you will be as you say spending just as much on re-advertising it.

In my experience it is NEVER worth selling a car with known faults, the first thing anyone will think is that it must be expensive, or the seller would have fixed it.
