What sort of fitting is on this fuel filter?

Does anybody know what the fitting on this fuel filter is called?



I'm wanting to convert my standard fuel rail which is currently sat in the inlet manifold and I want to mount a Jenvey fuel rail in the throttle bodies. All this means I can convert to posh Aeroquip fittings and braided hose. I just need to know if the adaptor below which is for a 3/8" Female Quick Connect to ORB-08 port (I think!) will fit the filter pictured above.
I know what I need in terms of plumbing for the Jenvey rail, I just need to make sure it can connect to the standard Peugeot filter at the back of the car.

A quick rummage on the interweb tells me it's an Aeromotive Female Quick Connect to ORB, but the sizing will be specific to your needs.

...is a Male Quick Connect which looks similar to your filter, but is hard to tell from here.

Excellent. Gives me a little bit more confidence with what I'm looking at. Looks like one of those adaptors could enable me to connect my standard fuel hose to the Jenvey fuel rail. Ultimately I'd like the braided hose but it will get everything working without spending so much up front.

I've wanted to know the official term for those fittings too, but I do know the Americans call it a 'bundy' fitting.

Just done some measuring and the bottom linked part above (I.e the male part) is identical in size to my fuel rail connection.

Fitting is found on Ford Mondeo and others, as it is before the main pressure pump I am not sure if it under pressure

The ones I've seen on Vauxhall are slightly different where the filter comes with a plastic clip ready attached. They do an adaptor for those filters too.

Just to complete this story...

This is the fitting under the car that I want to connect the braided hose to.



I have contacted Aeromotive in the US and asked them for the dimensions of their male quick connect. They are virtually identical - to within a few hundredths of an inch in terms of length, diameter, size of locking rib etc... which is probably down to the tolerances that I can measure to.



So I'm quite confident that their female quick connect will be able to connect to the original connector under the car.

I thought I'd finish this off by showing what the finished article looks likes.

The Aeromotive quick connect fitted to the original male part perfectly - after the original plastic part was trimmed slightly to allow the female part to slide on fully.



An ORB-O6 to -6 JIC was then fitted and then a push fit hose connector was attached to the -06 JIC end. The braided hose was then attached. The red tape is just used to highlight any slip in the hose when it's assembled - it didn't slip at all.



At the engine end another push fit hose connector was used to connect it to the fuel rail.
