Can I replace VW Crafter engine with a Merc Sprinter engine?

Hi
My VW Crafter engine is damaged beyond economical repair and I am being quoted approx £3k for supply and fit of a refurbished one.

Does anyone know if it is possible to easily fit a Mercedes Benz Sprinter engine instead, as I seem to be able to source these a bit cheaper?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes but you will have to change just about everything as well wiring loom, ecu, fuel system,engine mounts ,gear box and exhaust
3 K would be cheep in comparison.
