You are correct - the oven is big enough to fit a Mercedes Benz truck engine! And yes, they did use liquid nitrogen, and a torque plate when boring the block. To be fair, I had Karl send pistons to a US friend of mine, who then forwarded me the parcel. GBP400 for a set of 944T pistons looked a bit of a bargain to me...

My mum lives in Arizona so Karl could send the pistons there. 104mm custom pistons aren't £400 unfortunately.

Ah, there lies the catch. I just bought oversize 100.5 944T pistons, which he had in stock...
