not sure what car, was thinking something like a passat 04 or a similar type of car and what about a rough price guide??

Conversion could be done without that much trouble as AWD examples already exist, you would be looking to spend way more than buying an existing 4motion version and then you would still have problems getting it registered correctly for tax and insurance purposes. Say parts would be 5k+ and then getting someone to do the work at least another couple of grand.

You can buy a 4wd Passat for under two grand or buy it's stable mate an Audi A4 Quattro.

Easy....sell 2wd car, and buy 4wd version.

So it's not a Passat, it's something like a passat. Or similar. It's not clear. You don't know. You haven't thought about it, you want other people to do all the thinking for you.
