I need some DIY or similar cheap solution to secure a lower intercooler pipe at the intercooler end on a SEAT toledo 1.9TDI '06. The hose has been replaced just under a year ago after the old one burst. It had been coming slightly lose due to potholes or something else, but recently it decided to come right out. AA put it back in but 2 days later it is halfway out again (and lots of rushing air noise). The VW clips seem to be not fit for purpose.

What is the best way to reliably secure the hose in place? I don't expect to keep the car any longer than just a few more weeks so I don't fancy buying all new pipework at rip off prices (£100+ for something that should cost maybe £5!!!)

Thanks.

If its a metal to metal sleeve type fitment then id just put a small self tapper in it, make sure you clean out any swarf afterwards.

Yes a self tapper works well on these it's a common problem.

Mikalor clamps are way better than any factory clamps.

Take the hose off and spray the inside with hairspray, it acts as an adhesive apparently. Bit of a mare to get back off though!
