Hi

I am currenty cpnsidering getting my BMW X5 remapped.

I want it to be a custom remap and have been talking to a guy at JF Automative.

He has been really good and I am booked in to get it done, but as a newbie to this, I wondered if anyone had any experience of this company and their work?

Thanks in advance

David

Hi I had my Audi S8 done there recently Engine and gearbox remap very nice people, couldn't honestly say there was that much difference, as it was ballistic before, and anyways who has the balls to find out if you now have 480 bhp instead of the boring 450bhp!!! gear changes now better but the ECU is adaptive anyway and drive like miss Daisey it changes like her, drive like u stole it the it changes like a spotty youth in a Nova.
I could be wrong here but I think most (re mappers) buy the software files from a (big boy) in the Midlands because if you research the mapping game it starts in the USA who have an agent in the UK (the big BOY) who has UK outlets whom JFA are one on their list of dealers. So a few fingers in the pie, again I may be wrong but I think we all just get a generic Map/ file thats been written for a S8 X5 or what ever loaded into our ECU and checked on the rollers to see all is ok and off you go.
They do a before and after dyno pull that illustrate the changes and offer money back if not happy and backed with some heavy insurance liability so why not!!! ?
