Have a 65 Vette 327/365 hp.Won't go over 4500 rpm in any gear.Has a Crane electronic ignition with rev limiter.I thought previous owner might have set it low.I maxed it out.Same thing.Car runs perfect, but won't go past 4500.Fuel Pump or fuel filter a possibility?
Would appreciate some advice.

Thank You

Will it go over it at idle?
The fuel demand at idle would be small, so if it is sticking there, it's unlikely to be a fueling issue if it'll also rev to 4500 in high gears and under load.

What happens when it gets to 4500? Soft cut and a drawn out decrease in power or bouncing revs?

Brits? Who ya calling brits eh? Us Joisey boys gotta stick together capiche? So here's whaddya do. Yous geddya self down to the Chevy dealer on Communipaw. You know, left then right out of Liberty, onto JFK Blvd, about a mile and turn left. Hey, waddami trying to teach granny to suck eggs for? You know where it is.

Anyways, yous ask for Mikey in the workshop and tell him Big Sal sentcha. Yous tell him he owes us for that little problem we helped him out with and if he doesn't want to end up at the bottom of the Hackensack wearing the concrete footwear like the guy we's helped him out with then he bedda help you out capiche?

Yous tell him he keeps his nose clean, minds his business then one day he's a made man.

So he helps you out. You get your car fixed. You take Ann out for a nice drive in the country. Everyone's happy.

Sorry I took so long to reply.Haven't done much with the Vette till Today
My friend replaced the Rev Limiter with Points
I did some research and found that the Crane Product I purchased was replaced by one Mechanic in over 70 Cars for being Faulty. That's when we changed to Good Old Points.Problem Solved 6500 rpm with no problem

Thank You All for Your Input...
