Ultrasonic Cleaners

I've just purchased a small ultrasonic cleaner (4l) to clean a set of carbs of a 78 Honda CB550 bike.

Can anyone recommend the best solution to use and also what extent you have to strip the carbs to?

The cleaner i have purchased is heated so this should help out with all the old grime!
