Engine forcing against brake at stop (Autobox)
Discussion
Hi,
My Kia Sedona (insert joke) has just developed the habit of vibration excessively at stop when in drive and the brake pedal pressed. I'm hoping this isn't a problem with the box but maybe a throttle position sensor or idle control valve. Anybody had similar in other vehicles and able to point me in the right direction?

Is the idle higher than normal? My Kia Sedona (insert joke) has just developed the habit of vibration excessively at stop when in drive and the brake pedal pressed. If the idle is still at the same speed then it's unlikely to be something to do with throttle.
If not, it sounds like it might be a vibration damper that is failing/failed. Some auto gearboxes have DMFs which can fail in the same way as a manual car.
