V6 dual pipe rasp
Discussion
Hello!
I got a local garage to delete the centre mixer box on my v6 as the box was rattling like the internals had come adrift.
It's now louder and deeper but not too loud as I retained the cats, front silencers and rear boxes - they are completely separate feeds now though. I'm not sure I like the noise yet, at idle it sounds a little different as effectively bank 1 and 2 are sending 3 cylinders to their respective rear box. Up to 3k to it sounds deep and meaty, from there up to 7k there is a rasp which you can hear from the outside but not from inside without the windows up
Question is will and X pipe or an H pipe take the rasp away? Also will they help with the puttering at idle.
Google basically revealed that it's subjective depending on listener, so not much help...
