I've an Audi A4 2.0tdi quattro 2007 100k miles.

Clutch has started slipping at about 2k revs. Is it goosed? Going to take it into local indi later for a quote, but is there normally anything that can be repaired or is it a case of replacing the whole lot?

Cheers all......off to the bank in preparation frown

Depends what's causing it to slip of course.

But expect a bill for a complete clutch/flywheel if it's to be done right.

Clutches slip because
1) The friction plate is worn out
2) Contamination of friction surfaces (oil or clutch fluid)
3) Something has broken, e.g. diaphragm spring,
4) A problem with the actuating mechanism means pressure is not being removed from the release bearing when your foot is off the clutch e.g. partially seized operating arm

For 1-3 the gearbox has to be removed and a new clutch is required. For 4) the gearbox may need to be removed to fix the problem, in which case you'd be mad not to fit a new clutch anyway.
