Damn forgot .. mine is a 1985 (and I see yours is an 86 from your profile)

Does yours still have the Pulsair emission system - look for some pipes the size of brake pipes going from the inlet manifold into each exhaust port of the heads. It was designed to get through US emissions and saps power. It is crap !

You rip it all out and plug the threaded holes in each port ...

So all in all I think I will be back up nearer the 130bhp ... a 30% rise by my guesstimate from the start of my ownership ... also I should gain a few MPG as the thing ran rich ...

So I got to the rolling road only to find the Land Rover is too tall to fit on ... now looking for another one as I am confident significant gains can be made just setting the thing up properly .... I will report back after the holidays ...

I got my customer Thor 4.6i defender run now.. Only proplem what i found that bottom hose thermostat is out of tolerance.. We ordered 82C thermostat and we get 92C degree thermostat. I didin´t realise to check temperature range when i install it.
We ordered new thermostat our LR dealer and he has got 3 thermostat in stock.. And also he has got one 92C thermostat in wrong box.. Part number is wrong.. I have to make a new startup and drive 10min more cam in.. I didin´t want to boil it with wrong thermostat.

Throttle response is awesome vs slightly modifield 210hp 3.5l efi. Fuel maps still need some tuning.. Run´s rich below 2500rpm and lean over that..
