Meta alarm system - reset help

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can help me.

I own a car that has a Meta alarm/immobiliser system installed in it (fitted by a previous owner). Due to a flat battery, I’ve had to disconnect the battery, remove and re-charge it and now, after putting it back in, the car will not start. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to look into what alarm system I have and I can’t find any receipts for it in the documents I’ve inherited (the car was my fathers).

Does anyone know how to reset the alarm after disconnecting the battery? Obviously I’m unable to take the car to any dealer due to it not driving (!) and after being stood for a long while, needs to go for MOT shortly.

The few things I’ve currently tried (and haven’t worked) are:
- Locking, arming, disarming, unlocking, attempted start (failed)
- Key in ignition, pressing fob, attempted start (failed)

From what I can see, there are a lot of TVR owners with Meta System problems so I’m guessing these are systems that come from the factory. Mine is an aftermarket however, fitted on a Citroen AX GTI – but this could be irrelevant

Thanks Steve, although the OP in that thread is able to drive his car... I'm able to arm and disarm the alarm but the car won't actually start?

Maybe have a few more techniques to try re resetting it though.
