Morning,

Yesterday was my second track day at goodwood, on Saturday I replaced the brake fluid with motul 600.

Car has no servo or abs - the pedal felt Rock hard with very little movement. Towards the end of the session pedal was noticeably soft with loads of travel. The master cylinder was damp looking.

What has gone wrong here ?

Would this be a fluid or a pad problem ?

Thanks

Your description described the fluid boiling implying that if you have fully changed ALL of the fluid in the system, you need to add cooling to the brakes.

The wet master cylinder may not be part of the same problem, but requires immediate attention, it also may indicate that if fluid is escaping, air could also be entering the system here, which could be an alternate cause of the spongy brake pedal.
