2012 Mondeo turbo petrol 240ps -missing/hesitation when cold
Discussion
Ok, here's a problem for the mechanically minded amongst you. Grateful for any suggestions.
I have a 2012 Mondeo, with the 2.0l turbo petrol engine (240ps). It's done 35k miles (56k kms). When cold, it's been suffering a missing/hesitation issue a low revs (1500-2000rpm). Once fully warm, the issue disappears, or is much reduced.
My trusted local Ford dealer can reproduce the problem, but so far has been unable to solve the issue. They've now engaged Ford UK/Europe to help. They've replaced plugs, coils and injectors, and even done a cylinder compression check. All ok, but still no solution. It's under extended warranty and no one is fobbing me off yet, but 2 weeks into it they're still scratching their heads.
I'm no mechanic, but any thoughts?
Cheers,
Matt.
