Fuel injection

Sequential fuel injection with an aftermarket ECU.
Are there any general rules determining the best point in the cycle to start firing the injector.

At higher revs I understand the injector will likely be running almost all the time but at lower revs the sequential should be offering better control for fuel economy.
The system does not have Lambda fitted.

Determine on a dyno with gas analyser to meet whatever goals you need to meet.

OR dont worry about it too much.

Some say end of injection should be prior to intake valve opening.
