engine swap - please help

hi guys, i have a 2000 holden, yes holden vectra and i know this is a horrible car. but i love it for some unknown reason. since ive owned it ive fell inlove with it. it has 320,000kms on the clock and im thinking about replacing the engine when it blows up. can anyone please tell me what is the best engine i can fit into my car, its originaly a 2.2
any help is much appriciated.

LS V8 should do the job.
