Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am actually pretty grown up if 56YO & 6ft5 is grown up.

As for helping, you have quite clearly shown that you are beyond help, which you weren't asking for & I wasn't giving anyway.

He is helping, by making it clear how idiotic it would be to add that crap to a gearbox. Hopefully this will avoid anyone else foolishly trying the same thing.

If you really did add it, he may even be helping you by making you realise how bad an idea that was.

Still keeping an open mind about whether you're a troll, or just an idiot.

If it worked...

Reminds me of that Colin Chapman story, not sure if myth- he’d have an odds and sods box of crownwheels, pinions, gears which wouldn’t mesh properly and he’d build them up and drive fifty miles with metal polish instead of gear oil and hey presto.

Don't be daft!

How can a cow get in a gearbox that is already full of diluted gear oil?

Keep spending your £500's and more fixing your stiff gears ,I cured mine for £1 the contents of a mineral oil fish oil wd40 to thin the semi synthetic oil 1000 miles now covered and quiet as a mouse

Yes I am beyond help as years of working on many types of cars doing crash work welding spraying I know what I am doing I never told any one to try this I just said what I have done and it's cured the problem no harm done a small tin of wd40 contents in 2lts if oil is very small and can not do any harm it's oil
