Hi Guys,

I've just got my Grande Punto back on the road after fitting a big turbo conversion (with forged internals, 3 bar map sensors etc.).

However I'm now getting an engine light and Torque Pro shows the error codes as follows:

P0130 - o2 sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 1

and

P0240 - Turbo/supercharger boost sensor B circuit range/performance

P0240 is baffling me; I can't see anything wrong with the boost/vacuum lines and it's only recently had a full suite of new, genuine boost sensors and an uprated boost control valve. After a bit of googling though it appears that this code can also stand for Catalyst system efficiency - is it correct that one OBD identifier code can indicate 2 different issues? Doesn't seem logical to me.

If this is the case then I'm thinking it may also explain P0130 - I may well have the front lambda sensor plugged in to the wrong connector (hence the ECU is getting a reading from the front sensor which it thinks is from the rear and I have a wideband o2 in the secondary sensor position at the minute to log AFR's whilst on the base map so the secondary o2 sensor which monitors the cat is actually just tied up in my engine bay at the minute whilst the wideband is in place, which will just give a continuous low voltage reading, throwing up the error.

My car is running a decat at present though, so I thought the rear sensor had just been turned off in the map, however it may be that the value range in the ECU has been adjusted instead of switching the sensor off completely? Not sure if this is how mapping for a decat works?

Any thoughts appreciated?

Thanks.
