Saab B204 Gearbox options

im Building a project car just toying with ideas at the moment got the engine and not sure what i want to put it in to yet was thinking of connecting my B204 upto either a Audi/bmw tiptronic gearbox would they run or do the need to run through the manufacturs ecu for the tiptronic stuff to work yes i know ones a transaxle (audi)if they wouldnt then i would use standard manual gearbox
